(0:12) Hi everyone! My name is Denika Anderson, and I’m the communications specialist at Pilgrim. Today, I’m going to show you how to access Pilgrim’s worship services and other events on Facebook live.

(0:22) First, I’ll show you how to get to the live events if you are logged into your own Facebook account. You do not need to have a Facebook account to participate in these services. If you don’t have a Facebook account, or prefer not to make an account, stick around and I will show you how to get to the live events in a couple minutes.

(0:40) So here, I’m logged into Facebook, and I’m just going to go up to the search bar and type “Pilgrim Lutheran Church,” and this is us right here. You can also go directly to facebook.com/pilgrimstpaul. I’m going to click on this first result that looks like us, our building, and our address. Then I’m going to scroll down, and this event is happening right now, so this video is right at the top of the feed. I’m going to click on it to make it larger, and here we go.

(1:17) You can also find these events by following the same steps as before and then clicking the Events tab on Pilgrim’s Facebook page. Scroll down to the event you want to attend, click the title, and then the video will be right at the top of the event. You can click to expand it just like before.

(1:34) Now, I’m going to show you how to get to Pilgrim’s Facebook live events without logging in or creating an account. So, I’ve typed in facebook.com/pilgrimstpaul into my address bar, and again, because this event is happening now, it shows up right at the top of the feed. I’m going to click on it to expand it, and there it is.

(1:53) Now, without logging in, you will not be able to add comments on the side. You are more than welcome to send any comments or concerns to the office at pilgrim@pilgrimstpaul.org, and if you would like help creating a Facebook account, you can reach out to that same email or contact me directly at communications@pilgrimstpaul.org and we’ll get you set up.

(2:15) Finally, I just want to thank you all for continuing to adapt to new ways of gathering over the past year. I know this has not always been easy, and your flexibility is greatly appreciated as we step into this new way of gathering. As always, I and the rest of the Pilgrim staff are here for any questions you may have.

(2:33) This has been a tutorial for accessing Pilgrim’s events on Facebook live, I’m Denika Anderson, take care and go in peace!
