Luganga Lutheran, Pilgrim's Sister Church
The Lutheran Church through the St. Paul Area Synod has been working with the Iringa Diocese of Tanzania for 30 years.
Pilgrim has had a partnership with Luganga Lutheran since 2002, for 15 years. In January and February 2017, a delegation of Pilgrims visited visited Luganga for the first time!

New Year's Greetings & News from Luganga, January 18, 2018
Praise Jesus all our sisters and brothers at Pilgrim.
Thank you for the christmas and happy new wishes you sent to us. It has been so amazing to hear how YOU had a very inspiring message for Christmas festival and new year 2018.we thank God for the gift of Jesus Christ and also for the gift of another new year 2018. Real, its by Grace of God we have this new year to live and serve Him.
we had two different visitors who delivered the message of Christmas and new year services at Luganga, These were student Pastors from Iringa University college. We were blessed with their message.
we have set our plans to work through this new year as follows,
1.prayers for Luganga and Pilgrim partnership
2. finishing the new evangelist house and new church at Luganga station
3. Evangelism through home to home visit, seminars,etc
4.buying land to establish new preaching point at Ipambasilo, the area between luganga and Ikuvala
5. strengthening children and youth in Jesus"s faith through teaching
6. strengthening women and fathers in christian marriage
Thank you joining us to pray for each other. we also have received scholarship funds to educate five students this year. Tunu is completing form six next may. we have replaced Elishama as new student this year. the rest 4 are continuing, two of them( Elice and Owedy) waiting their form 4 results before proceeding form 5 and 6 next July.
we have the budget standing 10 million to accomplish evangelist house and another 12 million for the church. we look with pleasure to receive building support as you sent last year. we hope it will joing our internal funds to lead us to a next good stage in building projects.
it is rain season here, and we continue with agricultural activities.
we pray God to give you a proper assistant pastor to work with Pastor Carol Tomer. let us continue with prayers and communication and support. May God bless us all. Bishop Gaville will be visiting Luganga next month 18 of february. when we meet last december he told how you welcomed him and her wife with joyous heart. thank you for the love to our new
