Pilgrim CAT Survey - Frequently Asked Questions

Updated: May 4

How long does it take to complete the CAT survey?

We recommend you set aside 30 minutes to take the survey.

Can I take the survey in multiple sittings?

We suggest you do the survey in one sitting, although it will not time you out if you walk away and come back. The only concern is if your device is set to “go to sleep” or shut-down after a certain period of activity, it will close the survey. If this happens and the window doesn’t come back up, you will need to start the survey from the beginning.

Can I change my answers before submitting the survey?

You can go back and change anything you previously answered. However, once you hit “submit,” you are unable to get back into your own submission.

When do I need to have the survey completed by?

Please plan to complete the survey as soon as you are able once it opens on May 3. The survey will close at midnight on Monday, May 24.

How old do I have to be to participate in the survey?

Anyone 14 years and older are invited to fill out the survey. If you have a child under 14 that is interested in participating, we recommend a parent/guardian oversee their input.

I have a child at college. Can I send the link to them?

Absolutely! We encourage you to send the link to others that may not have access to it!

I didn’t get an email with the survey link. How can I get to the survey?

Sorry about that! Click on this link and begin. https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/PILGRIMLCSTPMN

There are multiple Pilgrim members in my household, but we only got one email invitation. Can we all use the same computer to fill out the survey?

YES! Since the surveys aren't tracked in any way, all individuals in your household can use the same computer.

Are my answers anonymous?

Yes! All answers are strictly anonymous. There is no way of matching any assessment to a particular person, so please candidly share your perceptions, opinions, and experiences.

How do I request a paper copy?

Send an email to PilgrimCATSurvey@gmail.com and we will mail a paper copy to you. Please ensure you answer each question in the survey. If you do not respond to a survey question, none of your responses after that unanswered question can be included when your paper survey is processed.

Are the paper copies anonymous?

YES! Along with the paper copy we mail to you, there will be a postage-paid return envelope addressed to church, with a return address of church as well. We have no way of knowing who sent it to us … unless, of course, you put your name on it! 😊 Please don’t put your name on it!

When will Pilgrims learn the results of the survey?

Results will be tabulated in late May and early June, when a summary report of survey results will then be provided to Pilgrim. That report will be shared with the congregation. A much more detailed report will be reviewed in June by the Vestry and CAT Survey Team and will be available upon request.

Who do I contact if I have questions?

Send an email to PilgrimCATSurvey@gmail.com and someone will get back to you as soon as possible.
