Forum at 10:40 am: The Impact of Women Clergy
In 2020, we have been invited to observe the ELCA's (our national church body) 50/40/10 commemoration of the 50th anniversary of ordaining Lutheran women, the 40th anniversary of ordaining Lutheran women of color, and the 10th anniversary of LGBTQ individuals being able to serve freely. Join Pastor Carol and Pastor Jen to reflect on the impact of ordained women on the church. During the forum, participants will have an opportunity to: reflect on how women serving as clergy have shaped their understanding of church, God, and humanity; ask Pastor Carol and Pastor Jen about their experiences as women clergy; and view a bit of video created for our Saint Paul Area Synod Assembly for this commemoration, planned by a team including Pastor Carol and featuring her as a moderator of a conversation among women clergy about their experiences!
