Examples of other Sunday evening worship services and events include:
St. Thomas the Doubter - Brought from Finland to Pilgrim in 2007, the St. Thomas Mass was an ecumenical meditative service created in Helsinki for seekers, searchers, and believers alike. As part of the service, participants had the opportunity to visit stations such as “Create with God: Art Material,”
"Talk with God’s Text: Converse about the Gospel,”
"Walk with God: Labyrinth Meditation,” "Illumination with God: Light a Candle,” “Heal with God: Anointing Oil,” and
"Reconcile with God: Shared Doubts and Concerns.”
Saturday Night Meets Sunday Morning - In 2006, Indigo Girl Emily Saliers, along with her church-musician father, Don Saliers, wove together song and reflection as they explored themes of music and justice, music and human emotions, and music and the search for God.
Midweek Lenten Services with a Meal
Midweek Lenten services are preceded by a soup supper. These worship services are a shared journey of St. Paul Lutheran churches. The pastors take turns preaching, and we worship together with our Lutheran neighbors, alternating between our sanctuaries. This is a wonderful opportunity to worship with our neighbors.
Midweek Worship
A variety of Wednesday night worship services are offered
at various times throughout the year.
For example:
Celebrating the Feast of St. Brigid - This 2007 event
included "The Spiritual Quest in Irish Literature," presented
by Patrick O’Donnell, and a Celtic Contemplative Worship.
Action and Contemplation - Inspired by the writings of Etty
Hillesum & Dietrich Bonhoeffer, this 2006 contemplative
worship service, led by guest pastor Elisabeth Petterson
from Sweden, included song, silence, prayer and an
opportunity for discussion on action in relation to
contemplation.
We Bind Them Together: Pearls of Life - Another 2006 event,
participants learned about and discussed the “Pearls of
Life,” a garland of prayer beads symbolizing different
aspects of life as created by Martin Lönnebo, former bishop
in The Church of Sweden. Led by guest pastor Elisabeth
Petterson, each participant strung together beads
symbolizing concepts including love, resurrection, baptism,
hardship, and serenity.
A Mini “Iona Big-Sing” - Led by visiting religious teacher
Ruth Harvey, Pilgrim members and visitors had an opportunity
to learn and sing the music of Scotland’s Iona Community.
Easter Light Service
An early morning Easter Sunday festival service
incorporating elements of Easter Vigil and Easter Sunrise
services with communion, choirs, and trumpets.
Blessing of the Animals
A neighborhood event!! Bring your pets for this annual
summer, outdoor service.
Global Music on the Blacktop

Pilgrims and neighbors alike, on the blacktop on Prior
beside the church. It usually takes place on the last Sunday
in August.
All Saints Sunday
